Reflections on Marketing Assignment

Part 1

· You & team, Good & bad.

It was fine working with Pei Yi; we cooperated well I feel. Well, we worked by dividing tasks as it was quite inconvenient doing work together; busy and all. Perhaps the progress of work done by each of us could be checked through if there was just a little more time. (I know that there are some slight errors in text for the poster...) Overall, things were good, and we often spoke online about the tasks and progress.

Our work was done a little last minute, but nevertheless we submitted on time. I spent most of my time on doing the report, whereas Pei Yi concentrated more on the visuals. Occasional checks of each others progress were done.

· Talk more about your Motivations (and lack of) in this period.

At the start, of course there was procrastination, but at least we had our product in mind. Later when the specific tasks such as the report topics and product views were given out, we split our tasks - I was to start on the report, Pei Yi was to get the drawings done.

It's a good thing we chose a product that looked cute, and a lot of ideas could be put into it. Its visual aspect helped us get going till submission day - expanding the functions and ideas of the product, drawing the product out nicely.

· How were you able to motivate yourself? How did you pick yourself up after some disappointment or failure?

I guess constant checking of Pei Yi's progress and vice versa helped each other be more motivated - like there's an obligation to the other to complete our own specific tasks. The tasks weren't exactly that tough so things were able to progress quite smoothly.

If you have seen our report, you would know that we have a rejected product. After preparing the report and drawings, through our survey, we realized that it was not well received by the people. True, there was some disappointment felt by each of us, but we discussed on what could be changed.

We decided to change it to an external hard drive instead of 5 little thumb drives, with more space included; more consumer-based.. We liked this idea, so we went for it.

· How now? What next?

Well I think that teamwork is important; at least help each other out through these demanding assignments, please.

I shall finish my present assignments quickly but do a good job, of course. Be more disciplined!!
